Our desire is to photograph you the way we would want our loved ones to be photographed…with sensitivity, planning, and careful attention to detail. We have felt this way since we first began photographing many years ago and we believe it is more important today.

Ours is not an ordinary studio. We offer many extraordinary services at no additional charge to our clients. We will come to your home to assist in the design of your portrait session; help in the selection of clothing and accessories; provide refreshments during our sessions; make ourselves available for appointments at almost any time; project your previews at our studio; and we allow originals to be taken home for relaxed review. Finally, we guarantee our product. We will replace any portrait that is damaged or destroyed for any reason, at no charge, provided that we have framed the image.

We take great pride in our work and our service. Before selecting a photographer we urge you to talk to any of our previous clients; they are our best advertisement.

Planning your portrait session… is the most important element of the photographic experience. To enable us to create a superior portrait, we strongly recommend a conference before your session to discuss the location for your portrait, the selection of clothing, make-up, accessories, and the type and mood of the portrait you have in mind. Another significant element of this conference is that it allows us to meet you on a personal basis, to become acquainted with any children that we may be photographing, and to discuss in general how our style and approach to portraiture can meet your needs.

What you may expect from us… is an experience. We only photograph one client a day, so you know from the beginning that we will be making this a special time for you. With very few exceptions, we only photograph outdoors, and then only during the last two hours of the evening when the light is prettiest. We have designed personalized portrait sessions at clients’ homes, lake houses, riding facilities, country clubs, and numerous other locations that held special memories. Having photographed outdoors almost exclusively for over 15 years, we can also suggest a number of other possible locations that can offer beautiful natural backgrounds for a personalized portrait…the Botanic Gardens, Water Gardens, museums, city and community parks, area lakes, and rivers.

What you may expect from our product… is a work of art. The originals you view after your session represent only an intermediate step in the development of your portrait. All delivered portraits receive the attention of several highly skilled photographic artists and you will become a vital part in the planning. Dave Cisco, an accomplished print-finishing artist, personally performs all of the final detailed artwork.

Framing… A portrait without a frame is said to be like a love story without a happy ending. Selection of a frame that complements the portrait and blends with the décor is not only a matter of taste, but also one of experience and attention to detail. Our selection of over 250 samples of custom molding has been carefully chosen from the most distinguished frame houses both here and abroad. With this broad-based selection to work with, we feel that the perfect frames can be found which match the mood, and enhance, without dominating, the unique qualities of your color portraits.
